Third World Network
Dear friends and colleagues,
We are pleased to share with you three new publications
that are the output of a project on Free Trade Agreements and Micro,
Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India, a joint
initiative by Traidcraft Exchange, TWN and Shramik Bharti. The project
is developed in collaboration with and is supported by the Commonwealth
Foundation, Network for Social Change, and the Heinrich Boell Foundation.
The series is published for information dissemination and capacity building
on issues related to the specific provisions in and likely impacts of
FTAs on the MSME entrepreneurs and workers in India.
Although the publications are focused on India we believe
that they can contribute to similar awareness building and advocacy
in other developing countries engaged in free trade agreements.
Part
One: “India’s Free Trade Agreements and Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises: Provisions, Linkages and Possible Impact - A Toolkit for
MSMEs”
Part
Two: “India’s Free Trade Agreements and Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises - A Primer for MSMEs
Part
Three: “India’s Free Trade Agreements and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises
- A Case Study of the Leather Industry”.
Two more case studies on food processing and car
parts will be published later.
Thank you.
With best wishes,
Third World
