Info Service on Sustainable Agriculture Agroecology Dialogue Series Outcome Briefs The Agroecology Dialogue Series is an initiative of FAO and the Biovision Foundation in support of the Coalition for food systems transformation through Agroecology (Agroecology Coalition). The series aimed to contribute to the emergence of a broader framework on multiple pathways for food system transformation that highlight concrete steps to promote agroecology at the national policy level, and set priority areas for food systems transformation. The series consisted of three thematic dialogues to support the upscaling of agroecology. The key findings and recommendations of each dialogue are summarized in three outcome briefs. The first dialogue explored the interface between territorial approaches and agroecology, and how this interface contributes to the sustainable transformation of food systems. It analysed the pathways needed to support agroecological transitions at territorial scales. The second dialogue connected the conservation and agroecology communities to explore opportunities and limitations of agroecology to address conservation needs beyond the farm. It discussed the contributions of agroecology to mitigate species decline and ecosystem degradation in the landscape. This third dialogue reflected on the current global food crisis and focused on a better understanding of concrete implementation steps and pathways to increase the resilience of food systems by using agroecology as a response to agricultural input scarcity, in the areas of policy reform, knowledge creation and investments.
