Dear friends and colleagues,

The Group of 77 and China have submitted a proposal to the AWG-LCA (Ad hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action) process under the UNFCCC for ‘A Technology Mechanism under the UNFCCC’

This proposal for a technology mechanism will provide a means to enhance delivery on the Convention obligations on technology and related finance and capacity building. It will build on existing activities within the Convention, including the work of the Expert Group on Technology Transfer, and promote coherence by integrating expanding and ongoing activities related to technology.
