Dear friends and colleagues,

The Group of 77 and China have submitted a proposal to the AWG-LCA (Ad hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action) process under the UNFCCC on ‘Financial Mechanism for Meeting Financial Commitments under the Convention’.

This proposal is for the operationalisation of an effective financial mechanism under the Conference of the Parties to ensure the full, effective and sustained implementation of the Convention, in relation to implementation of commitments for the provision of financial resources.
